Danny Turitz, born in 1951, is a painter. He earned his BFA from Philadelphia's College of Art in 1973 and attended Tyler School of Art in Rome, Italy.

His recent projects include "Gatherings," a series of paintings that depicts imaginary crowds of people at gatherings. The images seem both familiar and ambiguous.

Previous works shown at Cater Burden include "Carts," paintings of homeless carts as urban still life. These paintings capture the drama and pattern hidden in the unsightly.

Turitz's series "Ordinary Objects" depict suburban objects like lawn furniture, outdoor grills, and garden hoses as emotionally charged subject matter.
